my check engine light has remained on for 2 years truck is 2002 f150 4.2 is there any thing that i can do for the 02 sensors instead of trying to re place them. thanks

You can try to clean them with carb cleaner and a tooth brush but if it has a heated 02 sensor most likely the heater is burned out and will need to be replaced, it would be the one before the catalytic converter. Sometimes the 02 sensor gets slow and will not read fast enough if that’s the case then the piezoelectric coating is malfunctioning so again you have to replace the 02 sensor, they refer this as a lazy 02 sensor, it does not cycle fast enough.
