FREELANDER XEDi S reg Dashboard lights are showing door open

My dashboard light on FREELANDER XEDi S-WAGON are indicating door is open. I checked all the doors they are all closed. The light still appears on the dashboard.

The rear door window has been giving a problem. When we close the door the glass does not go up fully, it lowers an inch and stays at that position. Please help.

The open door indicator light is on while doors are closed

The switches themselves might be broken. This can happen when the door gets closed on the seat belt. Check for damage on the switches, or paint on the doors. Finally if all else fails, get a volt meter to check for power at each switch.

if it was starting ok before it was serviced i would check the fuel filter to make sure it is tight and not drawing in any air also check any pipes that may have been disturbed when the work was done at the service if all ok then check the glow plugs

quite a few people have this problem ,it would appear that the problem lies in the connection plug where the lights wiring connects to the chassis loom.normally a quick clean and grease of the connections works wonders

This fuse is no.2 in the fuse box above the pedals and it should be a 15 amp.If you plugged a trailer in then check those electrics or check your brake light switch on the brake pedal.
