It may solve the problem if you could get it to cure properly, unless you can completely remove all the oil from the case and clean the surounding surface the epoxy wont set properly on an oily surface, If you look around (home depot) you may be able to find the epoxy that has a consistency of silly putty that may work.

I went to change my oil filter and I put a small hole in the oil filter cooler housing and I fixed it with JB Weld now my radiator fan i think is really really loud what's wrong

Not related at all. At least you know the fans are working. I would be more concerned about the hole in the oil cooler housing, JB Weld is good, but not a permanent solution.

Hole in gas tank

get a tube of J.B. Weld, drain the tank, give it a couple hours for the hole to dry, apply enough J.B. Weld to cover the hole. (you have to be very quick with the J.B. Weld or else itset up before you can get it where you need it. dries in 3-5 mins.)

Leaking differential fluid. what could of made a hole in transfer case.appears to be on top side of differential. if so how do i repair it.

Hello, broken gear teeth can make holes in the case or if you were off-roading something could have hit it. If you are not the original owner, a flying front driveshaft could have knocked a hole in it.

Biggest problem I would worry about is a loose part inside the case. If there is a pan or drainplug, take it off and see if more than fluid comes out. JB Weld is good for sealing something like this. Depending on the metal, you can even weld Aluminum now. There are products for heating cast metal now too.

If the area is larger than a quarter, and you decide to try JB- Weld, clean off the sides and sand the finish to bond the chemical. Then gradually work the hole smaller with additional JB until the hole is sealed.

My trafer case has a pin hole in it

If you are looking at a casting flaw in the case, only real repair option is to drill a small self tapping screw into the hole, then clean and de- grease the area surrounding the screw head, sand the area with a rough (80 grit or coarser) sandpaper and apply a layer of JB weld, extending out at least one inch from the screw, completely covering it. If sometime in the future the case needs a rebuild, when it's apart, have someone do a weld repair there.

Holes in the transfer case of a 2002 gmc duramax

well there are a few options, depending on the wear of your transfercase you can just replace the rear housing and install new pump clips from gm, jb weld and other bonding agents will not fix the problem but rather prolong it, I just pick up a reman this week for my own truck that was only$1100 great deal compared to junkyards

Transer Case; 2003 Silverado, Z71/4x4 (NP246)

Check to see if you have a pin hole leak on the passenger side of the transfer case, it will be blue in color, it is caused by a PUMP RUB issue that Chevrolet refuses to acknowledge. It will be located the 5th. bolt up from the bottom, you may be very low on fluid. For an easy fix, clean and grind slightly and place JB weld at the hole. Let me know if this is the problem. I used this technique on my 2003 avalanche and it has held for 8000 miles with no reacurrence.
