Question about 2004 Saturn VUE
The engine light on my 2004 Saturn Vue AWD came on today. The manual says that a steady engine light means that a malfunction has be detected in my emissions control system. I did notice a light backfire type noise upon ignition. This only lasted for a second and then all was well with the exception of the light. The manual did offer a few simple things to try including making sure that the gas cap was on properly, and making sure to use quality fuel. I always do both of these things. Any idea what type of problem this might be?
I am assuming its an orange light, this sometimes happens when the gas tank has been overfilled i.e. up the to the neck.
If you are not experiencing any negative affects the light should reset its self after several starts, I dont know how many for your car but its usually about 10.
