If you have just rreplaced the axles that might be the issue,or you tires might have gone out of balance on the front. oyah you might look at both axles and see if there is a clean ring around one them, if so you lost your axle dampner off the axle and you have to replace it if you did just change axles you need to ask for the ones with the dampners on them it will cause a heck of alot of vibrations if the don't have them on them.

Hi i have a 1997 honda acccord lx with a vtec engine i got the check engine light and scanned, recieved dtc code p1259 vtec system failure the symptoms are it driving normal until it reaches 3,500 rpm

If this is a 1997 LX Accord, it did not come with the VTEC, that was only on the EX version in 1997. So someone put an EX VTEC engine in your LX. I've seen this done, and it requires a EX pcm computer. It also needs VTEC wiring to be installed. Check the engine serial # and ID what this engine is from.
If this is actually an EX Accord, then there are more things that can fail than the solenoid. The pressure switch is a common failure.

Have a 1997 honda accord ex with a trouble code P1253, any ideas what that could mean?

hello ragdollsophi,

I am assuming you have a 4 cylinder engine. P1253 usually indicates a problem with the VTEC solenoid, connector, or wiring. I would recommend clearing the fault. After getting the fault cleared, in a safe area, accelerate the car in low gear to at least 4000rpm for 2-3 seconds. If the fault does not come back, then repeat the drive test a few more times. Assuming the fault does not return, the problem is intermittent.

Automatic Transmission shifting problems.

i had the same thing...It's the transmission. It's REALLY noticeable shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I was able to get my transmission fixed for 900 bux. That wasn't even a replacement so i can imagine how much it would cost to get it replaced. The shifting will get worse. By the end of my "experience" it wouldn't shift from 1st to 2nd for about 5 minutes until i drove it around for a bit. THen it would "warm up" to the idea of shifting to 2nd gear.

2003 Honda Accord 2.4 VTEC, vibration during acceration

I just replaced both cv axels one solved 80% of the problem and the other solved the rest. I wasted alot of time and money on new tires, balancing 3 times and an alignment. I should have just taken it to the transmission shop that I trust.

Depending on the model of accord. It may be a VTEC malfunction in the computer. If it's an EX it is a VTEC

If you are talking about just plugging into the speed sensor yes. A VTEC and NON-VTEC are one and the same.
