Question about 1996 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

My C180 's engine is starting too slow when I leave my car for over 30 min. And when it is warm it starts OK. Can you help me with this problem. Dd.

You may try switching the cars oil to a high mileage type this will help to reduce sludge and carbon deposits. It may just be a thinner grade of engine oil is needed

Coolant temp sensor may be sticking in cold position causing rich mixture when warm . That will cause idle issues .

Will not start after motor is warm,for about 15-30 min, after 45min to 1hr. car cranks up


Need to know more, clicks but wont start, cranks slow, car is ovedrheating, Bottom line is that it is either the engine is overheating and the cylinders are locking down the engine, The starter motor is failing or the battery or cables are failing

Fuel pressure intermittently drops causing sputter and die.


check for 12v constant at your fuel pump if you are not getting that replace your relay.
if you are getting 12 volts at your fuel pump the fuel pump is possible to run tuel it gets warm then shut down to a lower rpm I would then replace the fuel pump

Hard to start when 30 degress or less out.


Engine coolant sensor and Intake air sensor bad -----tech terms( ECT and IAT) The way to check these you need to hook up a scan tool to the cars computer and both of the readings for these sensor should read the same. If reading is off by 2 degrees that's ok not too off. And it should be in the morning before you start your car up. Thats the time you check it. hope this help
