Question about 1996 Nissan Sentra
Catalyst - unready
o2 sensor - unready
egr - unready
had my battery replaced and starter about 5 months ago and have driven the vehicle since but deq states showing unready and cant run thru deq - had friend hook up computer to it and no codes came up at all what do i do

the items listed here are all two drive cycle monitors. which means there must be two consecutive tests of the systems. separated by some amount of time. resetting the system will clear the monitor data and the process will start over.

fill your muffler with SOS pads just before your test a wire coat hanger can remove them after the fact..

You'll have to go through the drive cycle. I don't have it offhand but it will take a bit of driving. Try Googling "toyota drive cycle" to find specifics.

The not ready may be for a HEATED O2 sensor and HEATED catalyst. Since these cars are not equipped with the HEATED versions, they would never be ready.
