The wire for a door switch is laying on the flasher terminals where the e is crimped to the socket for the flasher. Move the wire and the flasher will flash correctly and the dome lite will work correctly too.

SOURCE: right read blinker/break light dont work, turn signal blinks rapidly

It's the bulb. There are two filliments in the bulb. One is for when you turn your lights on and the other is for breaking and blinker flashing. When the break filliment goes bad it causes the blinker to flash very rapidly. 100% the bulb. Change it and all will be good again. P.S. if it were a fuse none of the break lights or blinkers would work.

Ford edge 2007. Rear (Right hand) turn signal (side marker) bulb is not illuminated. Bulb replacement does not work.

You may want to check the wires before the connector with a test light...don't trust the socket just because it looks good...I had the same problem.

I have sourced out all fuses and bulbs, yet continue to have a rapid right turn signal. I don't know where else to look. help?

replace the right rear bulb. the quick flashing indicates a bad bulb. it could be a wiring problem to the rear for the signal light that you will have to check out starting at the socket and working forward.

Rear turn signal rapid flash

Rapid flashing is generally down to a bulb being out on the side it effects, due to the resistance being altered, does the side repeater and the front flasher flash fast as well? Try changing all bulbs on that side

2000 taurus left turn signal flashes rapidly and the left rear turn signal lamp does not work. Does ford have burned out bulb sense circuit that would give this indication? The right side flashes normally.

Yes - the fast flashing is a warning that a bulb is burned out. Change the bulb (be careful to put it in the same as the old one as it probably is 2 bulbs in one , parking and turn/stop) and you should be fine.

2001 ford expedition, drivers side turn signal flashing rapidly, checked all lights even replace flasher, still the same, went to remove the new flasher to put the old one back on and hit a prong and...

check all your fuses under dash and under hood even if the light is flashing the bulb may have a damaged filament causing the flashers to work rapidly

1997 Ford Escort signal problem.

This is the indicator to tell you that either the front or rear turn signal bulb for the direction that blinks rapidly has burnt out. To test this, place the car in park and engage the rapidly blinking turn signal (the engine does not need to be running). Step out and look at the turn signals to find the culprit and go to the autoparts store to buy another (if you have the money, you should just replace both as the other may go out soon).
