Question about 2002 Subaru Forester
When we turn our 1998 Legacy GT (AWD auto), we feel a thumping noise that occurs once every tire revolution. I believe it is a CV joint and not the transmission since it happens in every gear (including reverse) and in neutral. One CV joint on one shaft was replaced already (don't know why they didn't do both?). Any ideas?
The one on the side you hear the noise from is most likely bad.
Also check the tires you may have a bad spot on one.
