Question about Isuzu Trooper

1 Answer

I posted a question here on this page and had a very rude person call me back at 9:43 pm my time and was trying to sell me a warranty for my vehicle and when i told him i only posted a question about my trooper he told me he does not answer any questions and told me to ask someone else and hung up the phone without saying anything else, which was rude in itself. so in short i had a very bad experience with this site and somehow he got my phone number when i did not post it in my question. hmmmm williameichfeldjr@yahoo.com

Are you sure they were related? Your profile doesn't give any personal information. I have had people call my cell constantly about buying an extended warrantee, but not from this sight.

I don,t mean to be rude but i asked if you could tell me where the cabin air filter was on a 1991 Range Rover & someone came back & told me about the fuel filter. I,m sorry but thats not what

Cabin filters did not hit the mainstream until the late 90's. It is unlikely that your vintage vehicle is equipped with one.

I did give some suggestions to help resolve your issue on your other post.

How can i get the radio code for my car

Retrieve Unlock Codes for Radio and Navigation Devices

Retrieving Your Code:
You can retrieve your code using this website by providing identity verification and vehicle information in a few simple steps.

Information You Will Need (click in the right link):
* Vehicle VIN Number (Vehicle Identification Number)
Every automobile has a unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that contains information about that vehicle. You can find your 17-digit VIN:
  1. At the base of your vehicle's windshield, on the driver's side
  2. On your vehicle's registration
  3. On your insurance statement or proof-of-insurance card
  4. On your Honda Financial Services statement
  5. On new owner surveys or customer satisfaction surveys sent by American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Valid VIN numbers use the letters A-Z and numbers 0-9, except for the letters I, O, and Q. If the VIN is not working properly, check to see if letters and numbers have been accidentally inverted. Make sure the letter O was not entered in place of the number 0. Also, make sure the correct number of characters has been entered.

* Phone Number and Zip Code matching those on file
For security purposes, we verify ownership by comparing the phone number, zip code, and VIN you enter with those we have on file. Unless you have updated these values through Customer Services, the phone number and zip code will be those on file at the time the vehicle was purchased.

* Device Serial Number

There are several places to find your device's serial number:

The Radio/Navigation Code and the device unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. The card is usually placed in the glove box at the time of delivery.

You can retrieve your code using this website during the following hours:
* Monday to Friday 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time)
* 4:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturdays PST
* 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM PST on Sundays.

Just check and send the roght onformation in THIS LINK: Radio Navicode

Remember that this its one unique secure code, anybody could sell you in Internte.

Good luck (remember to rate this answer)..

Where does a person check and fill the gear oil for the manual transmission?

I personally would suggest buying a service manual for the vehicle at your local auto parts store. Unless you can afford the dealership for one exclusively for your vehicle at slightly higher price. Also try ebay, they may sell the manual for your vehicle on a cd for 99 cents and may seem too good of a deal. And if they offer one for your vehicle for 99 cents, buy it. It's actually a copy of the one they sell at the dealership for about $200. Check it.

Thanks __________________ RAV Report this post to a moderator | IP: Logged 12-31-2004 02:11 AM NoliWan Member Registered: Dec 2004 Location: San Jose, CA Posts: 34 Hey RAV, I got your PM-- Here are the instructions for programming the 99-02 4Runner Keyless Entry factory remotes: 1. Start with the following conditions: you are in the vehicle a. Key is out of the ignition b. Drive door is open ( all other doors are closed) c. Driver door is unlocked (other door locks don't matter) 2. Insert the key into the ignition (don't turn it) and pull it out. 3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Cycle the power locks 5 times. Use an even pace and try to go relatively fast. b. Close, then open the drivers door. 4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Cycle the power locks 5 times (same as before). b. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF. c. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF. d. Remove the key from the ignition. 5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (automatically) indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point. 6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second. b. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle ( LOCK then UNLOCK) once-- indicating successful programming. If the door locks don't cycle, or cycle twice. Repeat steps 6a and 6b--this remote has not been accepted. c. Repeat steps 6a and 6b for EACH transmitter that will operate the vehicle. Including any old transmitters. 7. Close the driver door. Hope this helps you, it did me greatly-- Good luck, NoliWan __________________ 2000 SR5 4Runner 4WD ____________________ TRD 2nd Gen. Supercharger / TRD Headers / TRD Cat Back Exhaust / TRD Trans. So I radio shacked a new battery in the remote... but it still does not work. I tried these reprogramming instructions, but they do not work either. "Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (automatically)" This doesnt happen. So I am wondering if I am doing the cycle correctly ... Any Advice would be appreciated. Rear axle

My 2004 had the same problem at 102,000 kms, warranty was up at 100,000 kms. GM would not do a thing and was very rude about it. I figured at 4 years old, I should not need a whole new axle, but the bushings are not separate from the axle, so the whole axle had to be replaced. I found a fairly new axle (from a 2006 with only 16,000 kms on it) at a salvage place for $350 (would have been $500 new at the dealership). They scrap the vehicles and sell the parts, try one of those, you may get it much cheaper.
