Question about 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
I own a 2003 3.5L V6 Hyundai Santa Fe with AWD. I recently (within the past couple of weeks) had to replace the alternator and after doing this my vehicle is now shaking, or shuddering, while accelerating from zero on up to 50 mph. Once at speed it doesn't have any problems and runs very quiet. In the past 7 months I've replaced the following: Spark Plugs and cables, timing belt, 2 drive belts, Front CVS joints, altenator, starter, various engine seals, engine compartment air filter and had the oil changed 3 weeks ago along with a tire rotation and rebalancing. The Mass Air Flow sensor was also cleaned within the past month. Thank-you for any help you can offer on this problem.
There is nothing wrong with Spark plug or any other outfit. This is a Transmission Problem. If you read Consumer Complaints, there are so many against Hyundai.
There might be few more reasons that people came across while having vibration specially during the start :-
Two common things that usually happen are the motor mounts and/or the idle control valve. If the idle control valve or the throttle body are dirty it will cause the idle to be low enough to be rough. Also if the engine mounts are worn it causes it also.
In rare scenarios, I have seen this is due to TYRES.
Hope i helped you.
