SOURCE: j reg peugeot 309 - cambelt timing

Hi
Do you have a distributer cap on this car? or coilpack
If it is the distributer try and advance it slightly just move the distributer round slightly, it should have a screw loosen it off and move slightly until the timing sounds right, I kow you wanted timing info, but if the belt has only moved slightly then you just need to move this. Worth a try for the time being, I had a 309gti goodwood had the same issue.

Hope this helps
Dan

I don't know exactly the engine code but may be this 205 documents can help you.
The alternator belt or ancillary belt need to be removed before you can proceed to cambelt.

Trying to locate where on the vechicle the fuel pressure cyliond

Hi ,I think you mean the Inlet metering valve Or IMV this is locted in the back of the high pressure fuel pump which is driven by the cambelt, the IMV controls the amount of fuel pressure from the pump to the fuel rail,You haven`t said what the problem is with the car ????,is it just a simple non start or rough running and lack of power,?let me know
