Question about 2006 Honda Element
My 07 Honda Element Sc is under warrant and has been in 5-6 times for the same problem. As a matter of fact I just picked it up from Honda today and it did it again on the way home. You will be driving and all of a sudden it acts like a clutch that has not been shifted into gear. The engine revs and you don't move the other day I was on our highway doing 10 mph because that was the fastest it would go I get it back from Honda they said it was the battery and battery cable. Whenever I have this problem it never seems to throw a check engine light. Please help I think it's a lemon.
If it acts like its not in gear then it could be the clutch disc. the only way to tell is an inspection of it. removal of transmission and rear end parts are needed to see if indeed it is this. this is a very long procedure and they may not want to do it. also if you have a hydraulic clutch you need to get it bled to make sure there is no air in the hydraulic clutch line...
