Question about 2006 Pontiac Torrent
How do you replace the brake lights in a 2006 pontiac torrent?
Open the hatch and look at the back of the brake light assembly, you will see 2 plastic disks with a little slot in the bottom, insert a flat screwdriver into the slots and pop these disks off, they pop off easily Under the disks are phillips head screws, remove both screws Now, you can't see them, but there are 2 pins built into the brake light assembly which extend into sockets in the body of the car, to remove the assembly, wiggle the entire assembly and push outward TO THE SIDE, NOT toward you, this will wiggle the pins free and the entire assembly will come free once the assembly is free you will see 3 plugs, the top 2 are the brake light bulbs, twist the plugs 1/4 turn and pull them out, now you can see the bulbs, just pull them out and replace them

The brake lights on your Torrent are accessible through the inside of the vehicle. Pull back the carpet area on the rear, inside corner of the vehicle. Upon doing that, you will see the wiring for the lamp sockets. Just twist the socket a quarter turn and the lamp/socket well just pop out. Reverse the procedure to put the lamps back in. Hope this helps you.
