Does it keep running all the time and you just want it to stay up. They"re not that hard to replace.
The radio power triggers the antenna and the ant motor can be disconnected in the pass wheel well.

Trying to replace antenna mast on 1998 toyota 4 runner sr5. New antenna does not come with bezel so how do I remove bezel from old antenna and put on new antenna? Thx

Where did you get new antenna? If no instructions talk to the Autoparts store where you bought it. There should be instructions with the antenna. What happened to old antenna? A motorized antenna? If motorized, antenna has a white nylon gear tooth at back end. If it's not motorized it may not match. The bezel usually screws into the motorized device underneath the body work. Should be way to use small wrench to turn just like a nut to remove. Hope this helps. I've changed mine several times, by going throug the carwash without turning off the radio, but
different car.

2001 toyota 4 runner alarm goes off

Ferrites may not solve the issues. You would want to follow the door switches over to the alawrm module, make sure that the module has a full metal casing, if not- wrap it in foil and ground it. Snap a 2 piece ferrite around each wire that comes out of the module and also add a .0.01 or 0.001 capacitor to ground from the higher potential wire connections at each switch you can locate to quench or bleed off the RF. You may need to relocate the antenna as well and also see if you can trim for even better SWR, and put a choke on the power feed wire to the transciever power leads 1 each side if the unit can be used in positive grounded as well as negative ground vehicles. And it might not hurt to put a ground plane (copper clad board) between the transciever and any wiring of the vehicle if possible. Many of those alarm units use a 10.7 Mhz IF, and recieve in the 380- 390 Mhz band, so you have some harmonics issues as well if it continues to be an issue. Switching to RG 8 may help.

I just want to disconnect the power to my power antenna on my 1995 toyota 4 runner. the antenna is broke, but i dont want to replace it, i just want to stop the motor from running everytime i turn the...

You may want to check and see if there is a single fuse for the antenna alone. If so then just remove the fuse, How ever, Once you remove that fuse check all your switches, radio wipers, lights, tail lights, blinkers and so on to make sure you didnot take out a fuse that operates more then one feature. If the fuse does work more then one item then you will need to locate the antenna motor and there should be only one wire going to it. Un-plug that wire. It will be a hot wire sobe sure to tape the end up to make sure it doesnot bump metal some place. Just a trick I learned was to take some gasket sealer and dip the end of the wire into the sealant. This will dry and become a rubbery protection cover. But black electrical tape works too for the quick fix. Then tie the wire back away from any possible metal it could flop against or get kicked against and short out your system. Hope this helps, Raz

Power antenna

Actually, there are 5 power feeds going into the power antenna control relay. If I am to assume that you just no longer want it to run, just remove the radio and disconnect the BLACK with a WHITE trace wire at the plug going into the back of the radio unit.
