How do u change a fuel fitler for a 1997 dodge caravan

The fuel filter is mounted on the top of the fuel tank, the tank must be dropped out to replace the filter which is a complete fuel filter and fuel line assembly. Under normal driving condition this filter is never replaced unless the fuel pump is replaced due to failure.

I have a 1997 3.8 dodge grand caravan. When i start it up it only runs a short time then shuts off. i replaced the fuel pump but it does the samething. Can it be the crank sensor.

Mike, Did you replace the Fuel pump yourself? I am attempting to replace the fuel pump on my 97 but the big O ring is giving me all kinds of trouble. The instructions were very vague and I cant seem to get it seated right.

Location of fuel inertia switch for 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan?

i would guess by your question that you are used to Fords. Chrysler vehicles do not use these switches. just pressure switches and fuel pump relay. from relay power then goes right to the fuel pump.
