Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
Engine rattles from time to time. Not a rod knock........but not far I'm sure. Seens like a oil pump going or possible blockage. Car has 173,000mi. New oil and filter noise stopped for short time. Looking under car it appears that starter and exhaust will have to drop, to pull pan. Does anyone know if this is ture? Where can I get possitive direction to a solution?
Does your oil light come on because if your oil light comes on and the the car is cold there is no knocking but when the car warms up you hear the knocking its going to be your oil pump and the oil pump screen
