Question about 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88
I took the wires off without concern of how to put them back on
The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2
The engine cylinder # from the passenger to driver, radiator side 1-3-5
The engine cylinder # from the passenger to driver, firewall side 2-4-6
There are two types of coil pack on your car. On type one coil packs, three twin tower ignition coils are combined into a single coil pack unit.
From the radiator side passenger to driver side plug wire to cylinder #3-5-1 From the fire wall side passenger to driver side plug wire to cylinder #6-4-2
On type two coil packs, the coils can be replaced separately and the ignition wires are all on the same side of the coil pack.
Coil from the passenger to driver side coil #1 cylinder 6-3 coil #2 cylinder 2-5 coil #3 cylinder 4-1
Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to know your up and running.
