alarm going off every 3 or 4 hours and the inside lights will stay on inless the dome overide switch is pressed

If you have a 4 door jimmy the rear door jamb swiches go bad. also check and clean the pin terminals at the jamb swich dconnector. This is a 2 pin terminal connector.
