Question about Ford Escort

There's a blue fluid leaking from the overhead fan of the microwave oven. we keep wiping it off but there's always this fluid oozing out although it is very minimal and it gathers around the rim. it has been going on for 2 days now. is there any danger in this and does the microwave need an immediate repair? will this affect the food?

The blue fluid is the grease leaking out of the fan bearings. Fan will seize when it runs out of lube.
I don't think that stuff tastes too good so yes, it will affect any food it contaminates.

Why is my 97 Grand Jeep Cherokee leaking fluid, when the radiator and the fan is not damaged?

pin holes in pipes or the radiator cannot be seen unless you get the pressure up on the water system., run engine to full temp and go round looking for the leak best if you put some food die in the water as this will help locate the leak, you will need to change the water when you find the leak to fix it or replace the part leaking. keep the engine running while you look around the system the fan will keep it form over boiling but with the die on water it will be seen better use red or blue die. or something bright. flush system after to remove the die.

Trans just outside blue started slipping bad

Year make and model helps. Any codes you may have would help also. But always first thing, check the transmission fluid and for any leaks. Could have a severe transmission cooler line leak. Keep driving it like this, it will soon be a transmission rebuild.

Where is the correct transmision fluid level in sentra 2006?

With car running and warmed up,pull transmission dipstick wipe clean reinsert and level should be between marks on stick. If stick is dry you are very low and there must be leak.fill to marks and keep car running and look for leak under car if no leak present then drive car a few miles at a time and check level repeatedly.Somtimes tranmission fluid will only leak under heavy driving conditions. If fluid level continues to go down with no leak transmission could be burning trans fluid up,Which is not good.thus you will have to bring to shop.Good luck...Brian

My power steering fluid is leaking, i fill it up and it all leaks out does this mean the the hose is busted or the power steering gear is no good, yet when i fill it back up with power steering fluid it...

The most common cause is a leak in the power steering line. With someone sitting in the car,(and the car running) watch the power steering line and ask them to turn the wheel in both directions. A leak in the power steering line will spurt fluid during this exercise whereas a leak in the power steering unit itself would tend to ooze fluid due to less pressure.

Recommend you get a new fan this time. They aren't that expensive. If there are no leaks under your car, I wouldn't worry about what the mechanic said. If it starts to leak bad, you will know it without damage. A car that old is going to have a few small leaks here and there, and it isn't wirth the cost to fix them all. If you do see more substantial leaks, try to identify the type of fluid and location, then get back to us.

Transmission fluid loss

The transmission is either going to leak out the front by the engine, or by the halfshafts, or possibly by the shift detent which is unlikely. Check the connections to the radiator - the small lines that go there as one of them can be broken. make sure everything is completely cleaned off and your transmission has fluid in it before you check it. If it is full, it should leak with the engine running in neutral or park. If not, you can always have your foot on the brake and shift into the gears to see if it will leak then. Smoked transmission when out of fluid may mean trans will not work any longer... Hope this helps you, Rick

The steering makes a screechy noise when steering.

If fluid was refilled, how is the level now? If it's low again, it may be the problem. If it has a leak somewhere, fluid could possibly leak on the belts that drive the power steering system, causing the squeal or screech. So check the fluid level again, if it's down, top it off, and have the leak fixed. Let me know what you find, and if u need more help. Curt

Front passenger seat indicates a leaking heater core, and those are not cheap/easy to get to or fix.

Rear light keeps blowing out.. how often?

Car stalls, tune up is in order...

Feedback in the radio indicates a faulty radio, replace it.

The antifreeeze is low issue indicates the sensor in the antifreeze resoirvor is faulty.

Professional opinion? Get rid of the junker and get your daughter something safer.
