Question about 2002 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

Front Passanger Side Noise

When I drive it it's a low regular noise but when you put the breaks on it's a loud noise. It's like a metal on metal noise.

Probably so. When making a left hand turn, if the noise gets loader, it is the right side bearing. IE... putting more wieght on that side of the car.

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 and it is making an awful noise. It started out as a squealing noise just about a week ago. Then it went to grinding and now it is this very loud breaking sort of noise....

It sounds like its your front brake pads are worn out and you are getting metal on metal from the pad to the rotor . Take a look at the front rotors you don't have to remove the wheel . If you can see groves in the rotors this is what is happening . You could also get your hand in and heel the surface's of the rotors if you can't see to feel for groves but be careful you don't put your fingers in to soon after driving it because it will be vary hot It realy sounds like you need a brake job

Loud knocking noise from front near side suspencion when driving over bumps had the car looked over but nothing found (sounds like metal on metal )

It would be common for worn struts to cause this noise. Replace your struts. This will also improve handling and take away the noise.

Loud grinding noise from front end

You can see the brake disc on the front wheels, Check both sides of each side, looking for scoring. Brake pads have wear insicators on them that are metal tabs that contact the rotor (disc) when pads get thin. It would be better to pull the wheels off to get a good look at the pads. Good luck

Front wheel bearing/break

Could be a wheel bearing that is starting to have trouble - you won't always hear it right as soon as it starts to fail. If it is a wheel bearing though, very soon you'll start to notice a rumbling noise.

Front drive train or axles?

Welcome to fixya

could be one of those but lets hope not it could also be the front bearings if it is the bearings it runs around 300 to fix if it is drive train or axles your talking a lot more money

OH check the break pads just thought of that if the pads are low it will make a noise to pull wheels off and check breaks first

hope this helps you out have a good day :)
