SOURCE: 1989 mercedes 300e dual fuel pumps?

Depends, if you are if you replace the one that was working you wont get enough pressure. Also go get the check valve as those can go bad at the same time as the pumps.

Sounds like fuel filter may be clogged or the throttle body might need cleaning. Or the fuel pump is going bad. I know it sounds like I could narrow it down more but thats the symptoms of all of these things. You just have to narrow it down!!

Need to find the fuel pump for a 1989 mercedes benz 300e

that particular model has an external fuel pump
is located underneath and if you take the rear driver side wheel you will get to it easier but not if you are going to replace you fuel pump replace the fuel filter also or otherwise the new pump will not last.
and have a large container handy because wend you take the fuel pump off. you will spill a large amount of gas .
the tube going from the pump to the gas tank in on the bottom of the tank and will spill all the gas in it unless you move quickly.

Need to locate fuel filter on 1989 mercedes benz 300e

Hi,

The fuel filter is located on the right rear underside of the car, just ahead of the rear axel area. You need to remove the cover to find it. It is the large canister next to the electric fuel pump.

Thanks.

1989 mercedes 300e can the fuel pump relay be reset or does it have to be replaced? is there a way to check it?

autohaus.com is a great place to get relays, usually cheaper than anyone. Normally the fuel pumps just go bad tho. I checked my pump with 2 wires while the car was of and put straight power to it.

LOCATE FUEL FILTER ON 92' MERCEDES 300E

There is an in tank fuel screen where the fuel feed line screws into the bottom of the fuel tank. The is also a convertional fuel filter which is located just in front of the rear wheel on left or right side depending on model. I have a wagon and mine is on the right side. There is a plastic panel that you need to remove with a 10mm socket and a long extention. There are three screws to remove before you can get to the fuel pump/fuel filter area.
