Yes with a new head gasket, and possibly a head skim and if most unlucky a block skim.(I am assuming you have some symptoms of leaks, would be more prcise if described the symptoms)

I have a 2008 ford escape and i was stopped on a hill when the abs activated causing me to go down the hill before ut finally stopped. What could possibly be wrong and need replacing ?

Dear Doug,
I've very little to go on,but right off the bat, I'd say you had a "catastrophic" failure of your braking system.
I mean, your fluid is leaking.
If it were your body, you are hemorrhaging.
Find out where the leak is, and do NOT drive it until it is fixed.
It could be rear brake cylinders, a rusted brake line, leaking hoses, leaking calipers, a bad master cylinder, or who knows what.
God bless your efforts.

Sounds like the brake wheel cylinder is leaking check the master cylinder and it will low or empty.

Dash board light came on brakes do not work

Do not drive the car. You have lost fluid somehow or your master cylinder is bad. If this happened suddenly, You most likely have lost fluid from a rusted out brake line, leaking wheel cylinder, caliper, hoses, etc. Look under vehicle for signs of leaks.

Brake light came on, filled up with fluid and 3o min later i have no fluid and brakes are hard to stop, help

You need to completely inspect your brakes to find the leak. It could be the master cylinder, a brake line, a leaking connection, a leaking piston on a caliper, or a leaking wheel cylinder. All of these are fairly obvious as they will either be wet, soaked, or dripping brake fluid.

Brakes go all the way to the floor car doesn't want to stop

Makes sense. Have you chked for a leak or defective brake master cylinder or even if there is brake fluid in the reservoir?

Master cylinder is leaking

You will eventually lose your brakes and not be able to stop - this is a very dangerous situation and you should not drive the vehicle until it is repaired by a qualified mechanic!

Your brake master cylinder has failed, the internal seals of the cylinder atre leaking, see attached for repair and replacement intrustions for master cylinders.

I am leaking break fluid somehow. I don't see a puddle anywhere. I've looked at the master cylinder. I don't see any leaking there. I'm not sure where else to look for the leak.

It's possible if you have found any visible leaks around any wheels that the master cylinder is leaking from the rear into the brake booster
