The first thing to do is, release the tension on the handbrake, but to compress the cylinder, you need a 'cylinder wind back tool'. Which is basically like a 'vice' but as you tighten it, it screws the cylinder back in. That's yer problem solved:) Remember you need to 're-bed' in the pads, and make sure the rotors don't have to much of a lip on them. Happy motoring.
