How to install side front window?

The window track should have a bolt at the bottom so the track can be moved away from the window to allow enough room to slip it in between the tracks. Also the door skin can be unbolted to gain access from the outside of the door which may make it easier.

It seems like the sliding door, which is manuel on the passenger side opens and closes real rough, like th bearings are freezing up. this is a 2000 Grand caravan sport. What do I do?

Vacuum out the lower track where the door connects to the bottom of the van, the upper track at the top and the track below the back window. Check all the tracks for any objects that shouldn't be there like rocks, leaves etc. Once clean, apply Lithium Grease to all three tracks (can be found in the automotive section). Open and close the door several times and then reapply grease. If it continues to be difficult to open and close, the door may not be riding in one of the tracks properly.

Dodge caravan back sliding door won't open (especially when it's cold). Lock seems to work but it seems the handle isn't engaging. Any ideas?

i would spray a lubercet on the in side were is catches and take veg oil to all the doors rubbers that will provet any sticking and last longer than w-d40 and grease the bottom where the track is of the side door alot of dirt gets built up in there and will not allow the door to open and close properly.

hi

this is because of the track in which the door slides.there is something in the path or the track got damaged which prevents the door sliding after a certain limit.
the wiring harness and the motor are seems to be in good condition becausethe door works til certian point.so the problem is with the track only.

Unsure if this is specifically related to your actual problem but there is a TSB on the side door sliders for 2004, I had mine replaced under warranty.

The side automatic sliding door is not working correctly

I had a same problem with my windstar. I found the kids somehow slipped a toy down in the track and it was jamming from this. Oh these kids sometimes. Check your door track throughly to see what is in the track. The track runs on the top as well as below the floor. Hope this helps you.

Left side sliding door-the track is completely missing

You are going to have to replace the track and the lock is probably the switch that unlocks the door on that particular side. The lock is connected to a rod that pulls the lock lever open. This is probably broken and got stuck inside. You will have to remove the door paneling to check these components. you can buy parts at Car Part . com online . Maybe they have them If not there are a hundred other sites.like Automotive warehouse. com
