This fault is due to intermittant fuel pump connector. You will find it in the boot under the round removable inspection cover.
Look at the 2 female metal connectors, one of them will have turned the surrounding plastic brown (due to the high resistance ) Just file down a watchmakers small screwdriver and pinch the connector so as to make a tighter fit with the plug. This worked for me.
Renault do not provide replacement connectors, but will want to replace the entire loom for £1000

seems you have a leak somewhere in the fuel system.check all lines for moisture from fuel. Leak could be anywhere between fuek tank and injectors. Check all fuel fittings, could even be a bad seal on fuel filter. An air leak is really hard to find at times. Patience is the key, may not be a real quick fix. Good luck

Fuel pump stays running after car is turned off. battery stays dead have to get jumped to start car.

The only way the pump will run is if it has a live 12v dc supply to one side and an earth return to the other.

Most cars have the earth side of the pump grounded down to the chassis so I would go for the fact that you have a short on the loom or a faulty ignition barrel.

An auto electrician would isolate the pump wiring to see where the feed was coming from then repair the fault

02 camaro wont start fuel pump relay or fuel pump ? How to tell ? The car started right up then died & wont start ! I dont hear the noise from fuel pump when I turn key !!

Take the fuel line off before the filter and turn the key on and see if you get any fuel out of the line. If you don't get any fuel unplug the wire connector to the fuel pump turn the key on and see if you get a hot wire going to the pump. if you get a hot wire then it is your pump. If you do not get any hot wire then it should be the relay.
