Question about 1991 Geo Metro
The compressor's oil is mixed with and circulates with the refrigerant. R134a refrigerant can be purchased with or without oil mixed into it. There are also separate oil 'chargers' that inject oil without the refrigerant.

You should have put it in before you installed it. It goes in the suction port of the compressor. Did the new compressor come with a bottle of oil? If it did not, it may have already been in the unit. Did you flush the system first to remove debris and old oil? If you have already installed the unit you can buy a tool to push the oil in on the low side service connection. Read the literature that came with it, it should fill you in on all this stuff.
