I would seriously recommend going to the library and finding the manual for your truck, be it Haynes, Chiltons or other, and read the section on it, so that you are sure that you know which OTHER sections you need to reference ( they all are great for "do this" instructions without telling you where to refer to), and then copying those pages, or go to the local auto parts store and purchase the book outright. It is simply a matter of knowing WHICH screws to remove and which panels are just snap in. On a personal note beyond this, grab your owners manual and find out what the bulb is that you need. as well as the other dash bulbs, they tend to go out AFTER you have changed one and put everything back together. Use an electrical connector treatment to ensure the contacts stay clean and don't corrode, as dash bulbs tend to have cheap thin wire contacts, you may even want to check out LED bulb replacements while you are at it, and perhaps even change the das light colors if you wish. After all you will have all the bulbs open and accessible to you at the time. I need to replace the 4wd light on my jeep and will be changing over to all leds, since vibrations don't cause them to burn out, particularly since the bulb went bad while off roading...

SOURCE: Ford explorer 2003 Issue the turn signal

It seems that the bulbs went out or the ribbon cable that runs behind the instrument panel burned out check on a junkyard for a replacement instrument panel and replace it, verify that the truck you pull out the instrument cluster is the same year and the same model.

SOURCE: CAN YOU CHANGE DASH BULBS WITHOUT TAKING THE DASH

you can try, but its just as much, if not more of a hassle then to just take it apart and do it right.

Where do I find the ground unit for the gas gauge on a 95 Honda passport. I went and changed the dash board lights and the gas gauge started tripping and stopped working need help

If the fuel guage worked prior to changing the bulbs the ground should be ok. The only thing disturbed was the cluster assembly when you removed it. Recheck the connections at the back of the cluster again for tight connections and making sure there are no bent pins. You can also try tapping on the cluster near the fuel guage area to see if that helps

My toyota corolla 2006 model has the maint. required lights on. what does that mean?

It means your car needs an oil change, based on mileage. If you take your car to get the oil changed, they can reset the light for you. If you want the light off now, try holding in the odometer reset button, with the key on but engine off, until little dashes appear then one by one dissapear. This procedure may need to be done either on the odometer total mileage or trip A mileage or trip B mileage.

Step 1: Have car off.

Step 2: Push and hold in trip reset button.

Step 3: While still holding button in, turn key to ON, but engine off. Wait for the little dashes to appear and disapear. If it doesn't work on the odometer setting. before turning key off, switch to Trip A setting. If the procedure doesn't work on the odometer setting or Trip A, try Trip B setting.

Step 4: Turn key off. Then start car. Maint. required light should be off.

I changed the oil but dont know hou to reset the change oil panel

open the panel with the trip/od and the mirror adjust. next to the trip/od you will see a rest button. turn the car off. weith your foot OFF the brake push the start button twice while holding in the reset button. the trip/od must be set to just odometer, no trip a or b. you will see the oil mileage reset on dash right in front of you. hold the button until it finishes. if you have navleave the ingition on and push INFO button, choose MAIT and reset the oil and filter to 5000 miles.

Instrument panel went dead

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task). This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).

Speedo unit died then Fuel gauge went to max

the dash control board is the controler for the boards in the dash, fuel temp etc. inside the dash itself, a board on the rev counter controls voltage to feed the the fuel gauge etc. the back of the speedo burnt, there is the 3 pin voltage control chip on the board. you can replace the boards. you can remove them from another dash and place them into yours but if you say the board burnt out on the speedo . then i would just change the dash as it would be easier as you would need to replace the speedo as well. you will also need to inform dvla that the speedo has been changed as for mots its recorded. or have the speedo rectified to the right mileage. not informing dvla can affect your insurance.

97 Plymouth Grand Voyager dash board probleme!! Please HELP

With all those problems, it is most likely a body control module gone bad. You would have to take it to a Chrysler dealer to verify.
