Question about 1999 Volkswagen Beetle

1 Answer

The A/C doesn't work, but the a/c light on the dash is on all the time. All the fuses are good. Just replaced the fan control module so now the fan works again.

The system is charged and was working fine not too long ago. However, when you press the a/c button on the dash nothing happens except that the light on the button on the dash always stays on. It never shuts off no matter if pushed for on or off.

Cooling fan temp light stays on when air condition is on. fans are not kicking on. Is it the fan module ?

I didn't know it had a light on the dash that said "cooling fan temp".
My 93 doesn't.
The cooling fans are controlled by the computer and turned on when the ac is running or when the engine reaches 220 degrees.
A mechanic would check the fuse and relay for power and the fan motor for power and ground.

All interior dome light are out on 2004 quest, fuse checked are good

The interior light are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM).
Check the fuse for the BCM. If the fuse is OK, then try to disconnect the car battery for about 10 minutes to reset the BCM. If resetting the BCM doesn't work you may have to replaced it.

Rear brake light when depressed (hedlights on) brake lights go off . when brake depressed ( head lites off ) one lite works one doesn,t

First off, the brake light circuit is fuse 13 in PDC to brake swicth to rear brake bulbs, there is no physical connection to head lighrts in that circuit. all headlight functions are done by hard wire to the BCM,(body controll module), its locatted behind and attached the JB, (junction block) at the left side of dash, I've seen moisture problems cause alot of problems in these 2 modules, Its alot of work to remove these modules, dash componets need to be removed first,More info on this problem would help. GOOD LUCK, RDJRP
