My Vue is amazing but lately he doesn't blow cold air while not moving, like at a red light or parked and left running. While moving at a healthy clip he blows cold like normal. I checked the refrigerant charge and he actually is more than adequately charged (never taken to a pro for AC issues nor a non-professional, he's operating on the orginal factory charge). My Vue also is up there in miles (245,000) could it be the orifice and how can I check that? Please help!
How do you check an orifice? Oh the high pressure side it will be warm to hot to the touch. The cold low pressure side will be much colder 45-50 degrees. if there is little difference and the charge is good the orifice could be plugged.

Have the cooling system flushed- sounds like a clogged or faulty heater core. Can also be blown out with compressed air from the firewall hoses.i fixed mine like this- Make sure it is cool b4 removing hoses

thanks! that seems to be ok... could it be a possibility that the clutch on the compressor is bad and that the cold air is pushed along solely by centrifugal force? i am stumped... this is my last idea. Any speculations are welcome as well as experienced advice. a fresh perspective is often helpful!
