Ether your battery is weak /and or your alternator/generator is not charging the battery
when you rev up your engine do the lights brighten ? if so alt/gen is working
another wa to find out if your alt/gen is working it to disconnected the positive RED
battery cable when the car is running, if it dies then you need a new alt/gen

Hope that was helpful.

Where is the light relay on 97 jimmy

There is a headlight relay on 1998 models, but not 1997.
And if you have daytime running lights there is a relay for that.
But none of that would affect the dash lights.
So my vote is for the problem being in the actual headlight switch, or a wiring connection. The headlights, parking lights, and dash lights are all on different circuits and fuses. But they all go thru the switch.

M i have a 95 suzuki swift the headlights went dim on driverside, now only high beams work and is dimm on driverside, low beams wont come on any ideas

I believe that the make and model of car you have uses a two in one head lamp bulb. I also believe that you are most likely looking at a bad light bulb. Simply go to your local auto part store, give them the year, make, and model of your car and they will give you a new bulb. Some auto part stores will even install the bulb for you free of charge. I hope this helps you. If you have any more problems please feel free to ask.

I have no tail lights or blinkers but my brake lights work. my driver side headlight is very dimm and i have no dash lights

change the tail light bulb, maybe use either 1034 or 1057 for older model American cars, you can take the tail light out any get another one see if it is working.
