IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER NEED A NEW WINDOW REGULATOR. THE MOTOR MAY STILL BE GOOD BUT THE REGULATOR MAY NOT BE ALLOWING THE WINDOW TO ROLL DOWN OR UP, BECAUSE IT IS WORN OUT.

My drivers side window is down and it won't roll back up

Assuming power windows
Do you hear the motor running? - If not bad fuse, motor, electrical connection
If you hear the motor - Can you move the window my hand? Could be a bad window regulator (a cable and pulley that raises/lower the window - when driven by the motor).

you have to replace the window regulator reason why is because the cable ripped which would cause the motor to work without moving the window up or down .. regulator is the cable and the rails were the motor makes the woindow move up and down on. you have to replace it.
