Why am i losing water even when the engine is not running?

If you lose sufficient radiator coolant any water cooled engine will overheat as will yours. You do not need to lose very much coolant for an overheating condition to occur.

If you allow the engine to run in an overheated condition you WILL cause very expensive engine damage many times what it will cost you to have a new water pump and new WP gasket fitted.

Ur car is having a clogging water pump or a dying water pump problems.The car water pump it is not doing it job like circulation of the water in the car through out the car engine evenly.The car keep losing water that u keep putting it in because of the car engine keep overheating and causes water candensation and evaporation of the water u keep putting it into the car.This car must have be check out by an auto mechanic for changing it holes systems on the car water pump or must have be do a replacement of the whole water pump unit itself.

It could be the water pump or a clogged cooling system. Is your coolant level ok, or is it losing antifreeze?

if your car ony doing short runs it builds up condensation and gives your oil milky effect
or there is water getting into it
solution give car a good long run and the water should evaporate when engine well warmed up
other wise check water level make sure not losing water in to engine oil

idt you should be using water and i think you're talking about the radiator with the reservoir. you should be using collant made for your vehicle. and as far as the water running out. you may have a lose radiator cap or a lose hose fitting. or even a cracked hose

Would have to suggest water pump at this point if all else has failed.
