It depends on what engine you have as far as exact location. but it is behind the upper radiator hose at the engine head. remove the bolts from the housing that the upper rad hose connects to & there it is. look for it on drivers side under hood. good luck.

Finding the thermostat on a 95 mercury tracer

Find the lower radiator hose - the big one attached to the bottom of the radiator. Follow that back to the engine. It'll attach to a housing of sorts, and the thermostat is inside that housing.

98 merc tracer wont turn over....please helpme...

when tracers stop out of the blue like this, it can be a number of things. #1 is fuel pump failure or pump relay, or fuse. check to see if there is perssure at fule rail. check fule pressure regulator. #2 is ignition coil failure, or no spark. check plug wire from coil for spark. that will get you going in right direction. good luck.

My blower fan stopped working

I just had this problem on my 98 tracer. Turned out to be the resistor for the blower motor. It was located under the passenger side dash next to the motor. Three screws held mine in. Simple plug and play. Check a manual in Autozone or Pep Boys for your model and it will show you where it is. $15 fix and 5 minutes. Any Ford dealer will have the part.
