Locate and replace fan relay, or it maybe the fan itself (doubt it is the fan ) but to check fan remove plug from fan and plug in a ground wire then run power to fan to see if fan works, make sure you hook up the jumper wire for ground to the correct wire when checking, if all that doesn't tell you any thing locate coolant temp sensor on motor and replace

Coolling fans dont work

Check for a blown fuse----look at it & test it
Check for & TEST any fan relays-have to remove them to do so
Then unplug the cooling fan & put battery voltage to it

If the fuse is good, the relay works, the fan works, you may need
a wiring diagram & do some internet searching to find a temp sensor or switch--odds are it will be in the radiator or cooling system somewhere.

Check for wire connectors being off

Have to check the radiator for leaks & the coolant system
for leaks & at least partially remove the radiator, to get rid of
leaves & other road dibris, bird feathers & such

Anytime the a/c is turned on the cooling fan will come on so that the engine does'nt over heat.It will not turn off until the ebgine has colled down.

New coolant fan and new control module but coolant fan does not work on my 2002 ford escort zx2

Try checking the fuse box under the hood. It should have a fuse marked cooling fan or cooling system. If the car does start, that means the computer isn't out, but maybe there is a bad relay by the fan or in the circuit or even the temp sensor may be bad. The fan won't run until the temp is high enough; usually by the time the thermostat opens.

99 323i replaced blower motor and resistor seemed to work fine until idle then temp gets cool

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck in the open position this does'nt give the coolant enough time to get hot in the engine.

faulty temperature sensor or dash gauge. Both do not conjoin to the ECM so I would replace the temp sensor on the engine first which is fairly cheap

If there isn't actually any coolant dripping out of the engine, or rad, or hoses when it is sitting, either running or not, you most likely have a blown head gasket. The easiest way to check is, when it is cool, remove the radiator cap, and start the engine. If bubbles are constantly rising to the top of the rrad, your head gasket is gone, and i can almost guarantee you that is the problem. Sorry.

At high speed engine temperature is Ok, at low speed or idle it warms up to over half way and the coolant level warning light comes on. There is plenty of coolant, an new water pump and a new thermostat....

is cooling fan coming on?? the coolant level light pertains to a sensor that is in radiator side tank that is notorious for going bad you may have two seperate problems normal temp at high speed tells me the wind passing across radiator is keeping cool when stopped or in traffic as temp increases pcm commands fan to come on if it does,nt you will heat up
