Check voltage output from back of alternator it should read 14 volts if it doesn't replace alternator, first check all connections.

Sounds like the brushes in the regulator are sticking. If you are able to remove the alternator & then the regulator from the alternator you might find claening will correct the fault but i suspect an alternator might be the final result.

96 Chevy Suburban going up hill the battery light starts flashing and the battery gauge drops. As soon as you level off it all goes back to normal. Have already changed battery, alternator and a wire

Wow, thats pretty weird.
The only thing that comes to mind is a bad connection in the harness somewhere that would be affected by engine torque.
Can you make it happen if you power-brake the engine ?

Dead battery, on second one

Someone will need to disconnect the battery and check every circuit on the car for the voltage drain.
It could be anything from a short in the alternator to a short in the wiring to a faulty relay.

Battery light on and break light on

Break light is no joke have the brake system checked for internal and external leaks . If none are found then itspossibly the brake hand / foot switch.

Battery lite could be incorrect battery or alternator is defective or the wiring behind alternator is corroded and lastly voltage regulator may be defective.

Battery light flashes

Sounds like part of a wiring harness is shorting to ground or breaking a ground connection. Check engine to frame ground straps and engine compartment wiring. Look for loose or broken leads esp. alternator and battery wires. Perhaps the power lead to the computer is faulty causing the truck to misfire. Any engine codes?
