Check the manuel or in the glove box, and the drivers door jam for a radio code sticker. if that does not work try 0000 and all else fail log on to www.radio-code.com and they can get the codes for you. There is a fee but it's going to be much less then the dealer. good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help and know your have your radio working again.

Bought car and owner did not have radio code local dealer pulled radio and got a code which did not work what is next step

Many times when you try and enter the default 'password', you have tried a few times to get into it, however it may have locked itself for too many times. Either remove the batter connections for a couple of minutes or unplug the radio power (best) if you know where it is. I suggest radio power, because you know it has nothing to keep it powered up in some kind of sleep mode. It needs to be totally powered off for a few seconds (maybe a few minutes in some cases). Then enter the password (usually just a few numbers) and see if it will let you in. It might be a good way to try anyway..

I had a vehicle that had an internal battery to the radio, so you had to not only remove power but remove the battery to clear it's ability to enter the 'password'..

After battery was disconected on 2006 Chevy Aveo began having problem with radio unit freezing up

You need to enter the radio security code anytime the radio has lost battery power. the code was supplied to the orig owner of the car. If you don't have it then you must see the dealer for help to unlock the radio

DISABLE COILS

Remove the injector fuses

Check owners manual for fuses

You don't need to disable the fuel pump unless you
want to, but you need to stop fuel from entering the cylinders

You don't need to disable the spark, as there won't be any fuel in there
when your doing the test

I have the original ac delco #3049 battery in my saturn Ion, which needs to be replaced. I can't seem to find where I would loosen any clamps to take it off the termainals. I tried to tug a little on...

I don't know what people are thinking here...!!!
Anyway, you will notice that these black and red caps have little straps on them. This should give you the hint that they can come off. Don't be afraid to tug on these suckers until they come off. Then using a 10mm socket, remove the battery bolts, negative first. Then remove the battery strap. This battery is vented, so remove the tubing carefully so as not to damage them and get the proper AC/Delco replacement. Not cheap! Oh and remember to drive your car for about 30 minutes normal driving to reset the ECM. Also, if you have a password on your stereo, remember it, or disable this feature before you start, or you will have a useless piece of scrap for a radio!

I have aproblem with my tape password of mercedes 300E after changing my battery then radio ask me to enter password i think i entered it correct more than 10 times but it did not play now i cant ...

Best thing to do is undo the battery or pull the unit out for 24 hrs and try again. If it is the correct code youll be able to renter it. If not pull head unit and take car to a dealership and they will look it up.

2004 honda odessey radio code

Need to reenter the radio code, it's normally located in the glove box or behind the radio itself, once found you should have about 3 tries to enter the code, if more attempts are needed, disconnect the neg battery cable for 5 minutes and retry.
