With the engine off, hold the throttle wide open. Undo the adjustment lock and pull back on the cable. Reset the adjustment lock. If you still have problems try servicing the transmission by changing the fluid and filter.

Well it seems that your plug wires are not reciving proper current from your plugs.. while you change the Oil every time some current come on to the plugs.. Remember from now on never change the Engine Oil without taking out the plugs..

Do also check the air filter... and for better performance you can use Greddy Plugs and Plugs wire which will boost your car hourse power..!! plz do rate... thank you for consulting at fixya.com

Lifters start to tick very loudy only after freeway driving but does not tick when I have a fresh oil change for at lease two to three weeks after freeway driving and the oil level is always at a safe

You cannot fix faulty lifters by changing the oil or using oil additives. The engine has to be repaired. If the lifters are ticking loudly bits of metal are being ground away and being circulated through your engine.

Using oil additives is a total waste of money and in fact is detrimentally affecting the lubrication job of the engine oil.

While drviing down freeway today the 2.5 ltr engine died and will crank but will not start. one month ago it was backfireing in intake and dieing on freeway and i thought i had bad gasoline it fixit

you need three main conponents for the engine to run, fuel, spark, compression . first have someone to crank the motor and put the spark plug lead of the plug and hold it near the block and if there is spark it will jump a inch or so, check the fuel filter , hold the fuel line clear of electirical and heat, crank engine , fuel will flow, when engine is running but running rough as a miss fire disconnect plug lead one at a time till you find missing cylinder

Bought certified BMX 335i convertible and after only 3000 miles of driving the low oil light is on. Is this normal oil consumption or is there a problem?

Though I am not familiar with the 2007 model, on the e46s, I know that the low oil light comes on when you are down only about 1/2 quart. Does your model have a dip stick?
A half quart in 3000 miles is not cause for concern. Most of them burn a bit less than that, at least during the first 200k miles, but some burn more. It depends to some extent what kind of oil you are using. It will burn more Mobile1 than it will Castrol Syntec, for example.
I have an '04 330 that uses about a half quart in 7k miles between oil changes, and an '04 325 that goes through a quart every thousand miles. I am only a little concerned about the 325. I would not be at all concerned about a half quart in 3k miles.

The N54 engine takes 7 quarts of oil with every oil change. But you shouldnt have to worry about that in the US because BMW covers all maintinace for the fist 4years or 50k miles. its not that hard to do though if you do need to perform it yourself.
