You need to bring your '06 Sonata back to the dealer. They will replace the switch near the brake pedal. It is a free thing for them to do because there was a recent recall of a defective electrical switch in that model. I had ,ome replaced and there was no charge.

It may be the switch whitch is located under the dash driver side right above brake peddle arm. when you press the brake peddle the switch button comes out causing the lihts to come on. may just need a little lubricant.

With the condition of the screws you should check to make sure there is a good connection to the lower bulbs for both power and ground.

Only rear driver side brake light will not work when braking need help

Pastor Norman, Pastor Dave here.
Since you already replaced the left rear brake light bulb and that didn't help, please take that bulb socket out again as you did before, and find a way to test the bulb contact for electricity when the brake lights are on. You should get 12 volts out of the "hot" metal contact.
If the other two lights are on, and you have no current in the socket, you either have a bad socket, or a broken wire somewhere.
One way is to go back a few inches and skin off the insulation of the brake light wire and see if there is current back a few inches from the socket. Cover with tape when you finish.
If you decide to cobble a solution, you could run a good wire from the other brake light that works and splice it in to the dead wire.
Be Blessed.

Tail lights brake lights reverse lighta park lights in the back dont work what do i do

Check all your fuses, then inspect the bulbs. If none are working you might have the ground for the tail light circuit out. Do the turn signals work? Hope this helps, if you need further assistance just reply to this thread/post.

My brake lights will not function on my 2000 grand caravan. All of the bulbs are new my rear lights work my reverse lights work but my brake lights will not

The bulbs could still be the problem since they are double filament bulbs. If your high brake light work but not the low ones the replace the bulbs. If none in the rear work then you may need a brake light switch(on the brake pedal linkage). If this is not the case the check for power to the brake light side of the bulb and repair the broken brake light wire.

No brake lighta

Check your fuses, especially the stop/horn fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. Fuses are in two areas. In the interior fuse box (left kick panel, below the dash--fuse chart on the cover) and in the engine compartment fuse box (far upper left as you face the car: fuse chart on the cover).
Hope this is of some help.
