1998 nissan maxima problem water in the oil

If there is water in the oil, it wouldn't last long under the heat/pressure of the engine, so if you are seeing water it must be super fresh. Are you losing coolant? If so, then i'd suspect water pump/water pump gasket if you never had that replaced. It could be head gasket, but you would probably experience a consistent coolant loss with maybe loss of power or misfiring. You can check with a pressure/leak down test for head gasket. Either way, if you are losing coolant I'd check water pump. If you aren't losing coolant than it can't be the water pump or head gasket really letting "water" in.

Hi I need help with my 2004 Freelander TD4: suddenly blue/white smoke coming out the back of the car ( the car did not over heated the heat gauge was at normal position) notes that there was oil leaking...

cracked block. once it heats up the crack gets bigger and the oil gets thinner which makes more oil burn. run car without the oil cap on and see if lots of air/ oil comes out if so thats blow by and you need a new engine.

Water loss from radiator and bubbles when running.

Check your fill/refill bottle for cracks as most are made out of plastic and heat can crack them over time. hoses are a common source of leaks. if you are seeing bubbles then there is air circulating through the system some where, its common to open it and see the water flow but bubbles indicate a leak. the only other thing i can think of is to check your freeze plugs, you might have one damaged just enough to cause a small leak.

Oil in ovverflo of coolant but not the reverse drive everyday flush once month

If there is oil in water, then there may be a head gasket leak. However, half a quart of oil loss every 15,000 mi. is not bad. If van runs perfectly, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe try some Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair for $30 or so to fix the slow leak in the coolant system.

Had the radaitor rod out had goose neck change had a single head gasket done check hoses and car stills runs hot and now i see slug in the cap of the eninge

if it looks like a chocolte milkshake you are getting water or coolant in the oil. pull the oil dip stick and look for traces of water in oil. if water in oil. you have another gasket job to do. more destructive route is through a coolant leak due to a bad gasket, an engine crack, etc. This amount of moisture is generally going to cause serious engine issues including loss of power, oil sludging, etc. Consult your mechanic when in doubt. good-day! if its a v6 maybe the other head gasket is bad. this will cause it to heat up.

Heating has stoped working and there is a little water in the oil, think radiator may be leaking, does my car just need a new rad

water in the oil will turn the oil brown like mud,is that what you see? if so,then you have a blown head gasket,do not run motor if this is the case as the motor wiil spin a crank bearing or lock up.are you sure about the water in the oil? look for real brown oil just like mud with bubbles on the oil dipstick. if the heats stopped working it may be because the radiator's low on fluid. look in the radiator for low coolant,if you can't see the coolant when you remove the radiator cap,it's low. with engine cool, remove the radiator cap 1st then start the engine. do you see steam and fluid blowing up frome the radiator? if so,you have a blown head gasket in the motor. head gaskets can blow and leak water into the oil or oil into the radiator. or blow and leak into the exhaust sysytem and blow coolant out of the tail pipe. three different ways for a head gasket to blow. usually the head gasket only blows when the engine has been run really hot!!! hope this helps.thank you for choosing fixya .com

1997 Ford Escort losses power when car heats up. Starts fine and runs okay at first. Car will sputter, engine will bog down and eventually lose power after about 10 minutes on the road

Do you have a blown head gasket? Just a guess. If you do this is one of the symptoms. You may have some coolant in your oil. Check your inside the valve cover for water by looking in through the oil cap.
