My daughter is driving a 1999 Chevy Mal...

My daughter is driving a 1999 Chevy Malibu which did not come with an owners manual. One of the indicator lights is on, along with the check engine light, and we do not know what it is for. Ultimately what I would like to do is find a copy of the owner's manual for the car. Can someone help me?

- the symbol is three wavy lines one above the other (like water) with a downward pointing arrow above them. I was thinking wiper fluid, but she filled that that up and the light is still on. Could it be the radiator? Just had work done to the car (alternator and some wiring issues) and then an oil change.

I may be able to locate the owners manual and send it to you, but you can take the car to Autozone, they will hook it up, and tell you whats causing the light to come on. Why not its free! Let me know!

what does the other light look like? any symbol in the light? as far as the check engine goes it is an indication that one or more of over 200 faults has occured in the electronic engine control system or emission control system, you will need to have a trouble code test run to determine the cause of the chek engine light.
