Question about Hyundai Motor 2002 Elantra
I had this same thing happen to me around march of this year. When you turn on the car turn on the air and look at your compressor and see if its spinning. (It should be spinning) When the air goes out look at your compressor again and see if its spinning. If its not you can have an expensive issue on your hand if you don't catch it quick. If your compressor has stopped spinning have your water pump and your thermostat checked and do it fast. One of those if not both could be bad. I rode around like that for 2 months. Finally my radiator blew. They replaced it and it blew again in 2 weeks. Come to find out the problem was the water pump and thermostat. When they changed it the air started working again.
For this car your air suddenly not working even when the the air conditioning system is good is a warning sign. That means that you have pressure building up and its not being released. So when that happens it cuts the compressor so the engine doesn't have to work as hard.
