Forester keep tripping and fuses blown after replacing radiator and motor fans. No more leak but fuses keep blowing. Anyone knows why

It's difficult to say exactly, but I would check the wiring harness(es) around the area of components you removed during the radiator and fan replacements. It sounds as though a wire or wires were pinched during reassembly.

How to remove and replace cooling fan on 05 bmw 325i

The cooling fan is held onto the plastic shroud so to remove the fan you must first remove the shroud as the motor comes out from behind closest to the rad.this 05 model doesnt have a manual centrifugal type unlike the earlier models its not a difficult job but lots of bits and bobs to remove first though

2000 Hyundai Elantra is overheating...

Wait till the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap, start engine and look for coolant gushing out of radiator or a lot of bubbles, its possible you have a blown head gasket.

My 99 alero v6 is over heating not leaking ight mite be hoses or thermostat . or head gasket but when it overb heats the smoke comes from the top of the engine

REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF CAR OVER HEATING WHILE IN MOTION.MORE LIKELY ITS THE THERMOSTAT,LOW COOLANT IN RADIATOR OR COOLANT SYSTEM,BAD WATER PUMP,WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE IS LEAKING, WATER PUMP NEEDS REPLACING.CHECK ENGINE OIL,IF OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE YOU HAVE LEAKING HEAD GASKET.IF CAR IN PARK AND OVER HEATS WHILE IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE OR.BANK DRIVE THROUGH COOLANT FAN NOT TURNING ON, BECAUSE THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULTY.CODE SCAN CAR FOR FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY OR FAULTY PCM. CHECK COOLANT FAN FUSE, AND HOT WIRE THE COOLANT FAN TO MAKE SURE ITS WORKING.IF COOLANT FAN DONT WORK WHEN HOT WIRED. COOLANT FAN NEEDS REPLACING. REPLACE BOTH RADIATOR HOSES, REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.BUY NEW COOLANT ADD 50/50 WATER AND COOLANT.IF ENGINE OIL HAS ANTIFREEZE IN IT.REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER TO KEEP FROM LOCKING UP THE ENGINE.GET CAR FIX.DONT KEEP DRIVING IF IT KEEP OVER HEATING,ENGINE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.I HOPE INFORMATION I GAVE YOU WILL FIX PROBLEM.PROBLEM COULD BE LEAKING RADIATOR HOSES BUT CHANGE THERMOSTAT THATS FIRST THING I WOULD CHANGE BECAUSE IF IT CLOSED, ENGINE WILL OVER HEAT AND CRACK CYLINDER HEAD OR CRACK PISTON, COOLANT NEED TO CIRCULATE THROUGH THE ENGINE TO TAKE AWAY THE HEAT FROM ENGINE.

I have a Chrysler town & country model 2002 where the radiator fans are no longer running. What should I believe is the problem? Fuses seems ok. Could it be the relay or some other switch? I have been...

A lot of this could have contributed to the radiator not working.. and you have already mentioned some of them. it could be the fuse or the relay or the wiring of the fan or the fan itself..

the fuse issue is easy to fix. identify the fuse box, open the lid and look on the inside for the specific fuse for the fan on the schematic there.

replace the fuse with a spare..

If the fan still does not work, approach your mechanic to check any of the other causes of the fan not working..

Need to inform you of the implications of using you car with the radiator fan not working...
Over heating has grave consequences pay attention to the gauge.....
fix problem as soon as possible.

93Toyota Corolla DX > test the Radiator Fan and replacing The A/C

check the fuse, if good then check the thermoswitch in the radiator (it's about an inch and a half in diameter located on the lower part of the radiator with two wires ) by disconnecting the wires and touching them together ( with engine hot...at least 190 degrees) if the fan comes on now but didn't before, you have a bad switch. If fan does not come on connect a 10 gauge jumper wire from the battery to the fan itself (there are three terminals,,, one high, one low and ground). With power direct from the battery (and a ground wire, if necessary) fan should run... if not replace the fan assembly... if it does run then you have a bad cooling fan relay. Compressor choice depends on your finance... a rebuilt unit is going to be a lot cheaper... Hope this helps... ;-)

How do you remove and replace the radiator of a 1997 EL Ghia?

first undo the hoses, there are 4 water hoses and 2 oil hoses, the bottom hose is difficult on the high side because of the alternator.
un plug the 2 wire connections (don't forget the locking tabs) then undo the air duct held by 2 screws. followed by 2 bolts located on the top of the radiator and lift the fans straight up
there are 2 larger bolts that hold the radiator in at the top. lift straight up.
when replacing be sure to place in locators in the bottom of radiator and fans

A/C fan and radiator fan aren't working

There should be a relay controlling them, check the relay comm for power.. You can connect the radiator fan driectly to the battery to prevent over heating. It has two wires, splice them and connect them to the battery via 2 other pieces of wire. In my opinion its very difficult to actually help with this one remotely since we would need to be on spot to test the circuit. I strongly suggest haveing an autoelectrican check this for you. YOu can connect the radiator fan directly to the battery to help you get there..

BTW the radiator contains a thermostat. this turns the fan on and off, of this is faulty you will have the problem you described. check the thermostat in the radiator.
