Question about 1994 Chevrolet K1500

Fuse Keeps Blowing

I have a 96 Chevy K1500 5.7 which keeps blowing fuses for the power outlets (cigarette lighters). Really annoying issue which I think is connected to my power locks as well (which do not work either). I have replaced the fuse before which worked for about a week, then blew again. Now it blows as soon as I try to replace it. Any ideas?

First off the reason for instant fuse blow is because this is a positive wire grounding out or touching/crossing a grounded surface. I would first target the Cig lighter outlet connections also if the outlet is rusty inside looking, replace it.

2000 jeep wrangler fuse keeps blowing?? What do I

That or the wiring to it is shorted at some point. Remove the connection at the center back of the socket and replace the fuse--if ok, replace or repair the socket. If still blows fuse, check the wire you removed for damage near any metal object.
