Usually popping through throttle body is a timing/misfire problem. Check for codes if possible. Inspect ignition system first. One thing comes to mind, check your air intake tube(big black hose from air filter box to throttle body) for cracks. If the truck idles fine but stumbles when you accelerate, a cracked hose will create a giant vacuum leak. Other things to check would be the TPS and MAF/MAP. A scan would be your best starting point.

Hello, yes the check valve is in the fuel pump assembly. The check valve is leaking and the pump will burn out soon. Unfortunately the aftermarket fuel pumps can be very unreliable. A good portion of problems we see on this site are from people who replace the pump sometimes twice and it still doesn't work.

replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump

That eliminates the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. Have you checked the fuel injector itself for an open winding or stuck valve plunger? There should not be a steady 12 volts to the injector--if good injector, it would be spraying fuel steadily into the throttle body. But at least the engine should try to run if poorly. Take the injector out, dry it off with air, and intermittently apply 12 volts to one terminal while grounding the other. You should hear a click from inside every time you touch 12 volts. If not, replace it. If it does, it may be plugged with debris. Try blowing through it in reverse with compressed air.

relace the throtle air idle valve. The temp switch will allso cause this problem.

do you have a K&N air filter system some times oil from the filter will get on the air mass flow senso and wont let it start. If it does try cleaning air mass flow sensor and some of the oil on K&N filter
