Change plugs and wires and clean fuel injectors.

    check egr valve.could be leaking.disconnect the egr valve for a few minutes.if idle get better its the egr valve if idle remain rough check all vacuum hoses also.

    scan it.check the mass air flow sensor.make sure its working.

Go to the auto parts and get a container of Heat fuel treatment and get a new fuel filter also. Then pour in the proper amount of fuel treatment and change the fuel filter. This should fix your problem. Also when was the last time you changed the air filter. This would help it run better and increase your mileage.

Van sputters still and worse then before


I would recommend having the TPS sensor checked as that is the first cause for rough idles and stalls...

2001 Mazda 626 sputters like it is out of fuel or spark


Could be a spark plug wire is wrong.. Just two that are almost right will make a vehical do that or the plugs could need a little more space adjusted in the gap. Or it could be a hose that is lose or has a hole in it.

You need to take it in and have them clean you fuel system and fuel tank, or the problem could get worse and cost alot in the long run.

first check the fuel pump relay under the hood on the drivers side and if it is good it could very possible be the fuel pump
