Brake and abs light

Check to see if your emergency brake is partially on. Also the abs light goes on when the sensors on the hubs get corroded from salt. They either need to be cleaned or replaced. Mine are on from corrosion from road salt so rather than pay the hefty fee to fix the issue until I can do it myself I just pulled the fuse for ABS in my panel to shut that system off. Perfectly safe to drive without them and not an inspection requirement. Now your abs is probably going on every time you apply the brakes and that is not a good thing!

Reduced engine power

LIMP IN MODE re-set your pcm if it re-occurs you may have a transmission slippage issue or a faulty shift selonoid in transmission. with stabilty control feature on some models a bad wheel speed sensor or hub bearing can cause the same but usually accompanied with ABS light

2002 avalanche, 168,000 miles, vibration at 30 mph and 70 mph under load. Noticable at 30, very noticale at 70. about a 5 mph band at both speeds. Not noticable in remainder of speed band including over 70...

I'd guess you have a tire out of balance, it sets up a harmonic around 30 to 35 mph, and at twice that speed, or 70 mph. I suspect if you drove it at 120 to 140 mph, you'd find another one. Could also be a tire that has a belt that has failed.

How many miles on this set of tires, did you get a lifetime road balance on them? Hazard warranty? How soon before you need new tires. Need to take all of these into account, but need to correct the problem before you have a tire failure and a wreck.

What do i do once i have the codes for an ABS problem?

Are both the the abs light and the brake light on ? Usually indicates A bad abs module under the hood in front of the master cylinder if the abs brake come on for no reason yousally while brakeing at low speeds you will feel the pulsation for a few second this is usually corrosin on the hub bearing or a bad abs sensor in the wheel.. A tech with a good scanner can trace the problem to one specifiac wheel hope this helps...

Upgraded 456 gears on my Avalanche now having warning lights on

rubbish
the abs sensors stopped wheels not fast spinning wheels
when there is no signal from the rotor the abs kicks in and releases he brake pressure to that wheel/s allowing them to turn to give the driver steering control
as the abs and traction control use the same wheel sensor , the traction could detect a fast spinning wheel and take action to control it
you have upgraded the final drive ration to 4.56 from standard which will be 3 point something which will make the engine rev higher to get the same speed
and that could be where the problem is coming from as there is a connection between the engine rpms and the road speed and the preset parameters may be not reading the new settings from the new diff ratio
putting on the lights and dropping power

2002 chevrolet avalanche how do you know when brake booster out no pedal onley 1 inch from floor when pressed replaced the abs control module but had this problem before the module went out

If you have a bad booster you would have a really hard pedal and it would take two feet to stop. Sounds more like a fluid leak or a bad master cylinder. Are you adding fluid or do you have a red brake light on?
