    1. Turn the lock cylinder with the ignition key in it to the ON position. On vehicles equipped with automatic transmission be sure that the selector lever is in the P position.
    2. Push up on the lock cylinder retaining pin with a 1⁄8 in. (3mm) diameter wire pin or small punch. Pull the lock cylinder from the column housing. Disconnect the lock cylinder wiring plug from the horn brush wiring connector.
      To install:

    3. Prior to installation of the lock cylinder, lubricate the cylinder cavity, including the drive gear, with Lubriplate® or equivalent.
    4. To install the lock cylinder, turn the lock cylinder to the ON position, depress the retaining pin. Insert the lock cylinder housing into its housing in the flange casting. Be sure that the tab at the end of the cylinder aligns with the slot in the ignition drive gear.
    5. Turn the key to the OFF position. This action will permit the cylinder retaining pin to extend into the cylinder casting housing hole.
    6. Using the ignition key rotate the lock cylinder to ensure correct mechanical operation in all positions. Connect the key warning wire plug.
    7. Install the steering column lower shroud. Install the steering wheel.
    8. Check for proper vehicle operation in P and N. Also be sure that the start circuit cannot be actuated in D or R.

Mazda 1996 lx prestige passenger door lock dose not work ether with key button our buy pushING down on

Need to take inside door panel off and look at inside door latch. The locking rod probably broke at door latch. Or it lucky unhooked. To find whice rod it is. You may need to cut hole in platinum sheet near door latch. Then move one left to right. One will lock it and one will open door. Then check to make sure both ends are connected on the lock rod. Almost sure it is the small plastic piece broken of door latch. And when taking inner door panel off. Make sure all screws are out. And use flat screw driver next to plastic tabs to pop them out. If careful everything will go back together easy.

You have still got the timing marks off.Take it back down to the belt, and align it back up,it will be a notch or two off, this will cause this every time.

1996 mazda b2300 manual blowing # 24 fuse, the ignition, clutch, starter fuse every time i turn truck over. Giggle the wires under clutch peddle replace fuse and it starts right up..why fuse keep blowing?...

They may not need to be replaced but they need to be repaired. Somewhere under there in that wire harness you have a power wire that has a bare spot chafed in the insulation. You'll have to unwrap that bundle, the one you jiggle, and check each wire carefully for a bare spot. Start with any wire that is red, pink, orange; those are the normal power wire colors, but don't stop if you find one. There could be more than one. Just tape over the bare spots, you don't necessarily need to replace them. If the wire harness has beeen rubbing on a piece of the car try to reposition it so this doesn't happen again. Zip ties work good for this. Hope this helps.

I have a mazda 2003 b2300 and both of my turn signals went out, outside and inside. the fuse is still good, whats wrong?

Check the turn switch actuator in the steering column. It might be loose, out of postion or broke. You can remove the column upper and lower covers and see how it looks fairly easily.
