Question about 1988 Ford Mustang

2 Answers

I have an '88 mustang 5.0L and over the past month I have to turn the key three or four times to get it to turn over. It will only make a single click coming from the ignation switch. Today I had to turn the key about 20 times before it started. What do I need to replace?

Sounds like a loose connection or your starter is defective.

I have a 88 Dodge caravan, I need to know what the code means when you turn the key on and off three times.1-2,2-55,55-55.I useto have a manual.

Well there are no single digit codes.
Code 12 means the battery power has been lost within the past 50 key starts.
Code 55 means you have reached the end of the code test.

Three fuel pumps have failed in the past four

do an ohms test on wiring loom if any higher than approx 5ohms when everything is disconnected bad connection. this can still show good voltage but pump not getting enogh amps(current) so it burns out windings in pump
are old pumps open circuit?

Vehicle No Start - no turnover (lights, radio work) then it starts

It may be your harmonic balance. do you hear a rattling noise when it runs?
If not it could be a bad or going bad starter.
