My ignitin broke.I start the car by turning the key clockwise than turn the other portion the same way than it's start, but it's start jacking and loose power when driving. Can a broken key course this?

What is year--make--model? What other portion are you talking about?
Is the key broke or the ignition switch? Your key cylinder may be faulty?

Sometimes if the ignition will turn on, but, not crank the starter motor, I can use a jumper wire across the proper two terminals at the starter relay where applicable, and the vehicle will start. If you try anything like that, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set.

My 1994 ford ranger xlt 2.3L 4 cylinder truck wont turn over I spent over $700 on parts alone I bought a new starter and fuel line and a whole new engine for it and when I tried to start it the spark plug...

Please clarify. Won't turn over meaning when you turn the key, engine doesn't crank. But then you said spark plug will not fire. 2 totally different things. I can try to help you but I need more information.

The ignition switch will not turn the motor off. What is the cause and how do I fix?

Most likely it is the ignition rack gear that broke...a very common problem. Check out this website. They have the parts and the instructions for replacing the gear that broke inside the column.

Good luck

No reverse gear, makes clacking noise when going forward

Obvious transmission damage. More than $1000. Possibly get a used transmission for $700-$1400, about $300-$700 To install it. Really unfortunate, my heart goes out to ya.

And when they replace the tranny, have them fix the reverse interlock to prevent this in the future...

Can't shut off power.

I have an '86, and the ignition switch is on the steering column, right under the column shroud. That's what the actuator rod connects to, it activates the ignition switch when you turn the key. So if yours is anything like mine, there's just two screws holding the shroud on, so you should be able to remove the shroud and manually manipulate the ignition switch since the actuator rod isn't connected to it anymore. That way you can hopefully start it as well as turn it off.
